Local councilman gets to “Feel The Heat”
On Saturday November 4th, 2017 Councilman Mires and Chief O’Brien spent the day at the Ohio Fire Academy for an event called “Feel the Heat”. Feel the Heat is a program that is put on by the Ohio Fire Academy and it is designed to help elected officials and administrators understand the job their firefighters do every day. The day is packed full of different events. Councilman Mires climbed a 65ft ladder truck, advanced hose lines, performed extrication, and put out a live fire.
