Assistant Chief Jonah Stiriz began his career in the fire service in 2010 serving as a Firefighter/EMT with the Gorham-Fayette Fire Department and eventually served as a Lieutenant for three years with the department. In April of 2014, he obtained his Paramedic Certification, while working with the Fulton County Sheriff’s office as a Communication Officer. By June 2014, he started with the Archbold Fire Department as a Firefighter/Paramedic where he has worked until 2023. In November of 2016, Stiriz made the move to start work for the Napoleon Fire and Rescue Department, as a Fulltime Firefighter/Paramedic and became an acting Fire Captain two years later. In June 2020, he was promoted to the rank of Fire Captain. Assistant Chief Stiriz has maintained a constant thirst for training and advancement, attended many trainings and helping spearhead many initiatives within the department and the community. Stiriz was promoted to Assistant Fire Chief on April 17, 2023 and oversees the public education and fire prevention programs for the fire department. Jonah has three sons, Ezekiel, Asher and Elijah.
