Joel is a firefighter/paramedic and has been working in the fire service since 2008. He graduated from Napoleon High School. He also graduated from Hocking college and BGSU with an associate’s degree in fire science and a bachelor’s degree in fire administration.

He was raised in Napoleon and has served with Napoleon Fire and Rescue his entire career starting as a volunteer. Joel enjoys challenging, training, and talking fire tactics with others.

He is a Nationally and state certified paramedic. He is a state certified firefighter, EMS CE instructor, fire instructor, fire safety inspector, and paramedic.

Joel is a graduate of the Ohio Fire Academy Fire Officer Series. He is a member of the Ohio Fire Chief’s Association and Henry County Fire Chiefs. Joel has a wife Katie and three boys JJ, Leo, and Eli.
